Ayurveda and the Doshas: What makes up our individual constitution with B. Naga Kumar - Part 2

This time we dive deep into the 3 ayurvedic doshas or constitutions and talk about how they form. Each dosha is made up of a unique combination of the 5 elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. Anger and its Different Ways of Expression

Hello!

We have all experienced being angry. Angry at ourselves, angry with other people, or angry at a situation. Are you good at controlling and expressing your anger in a healthy way? 

Anger is an emotion that needs to be expressed in a collected and careful way. Know this - getting angry does not mean you are a bad person. Nor does it mean you are alone. Anger emotions can make you feel isolated from people. 

Expressing any type of emotion can be one of the most difficult things in life! Recognizing areas of personal weakness is the first step to being able to grow and mature. If an area for you is the anger emotion, we encourage you to press into strengthening this by focusing on a healthy practice.

What We Feel We "Should" Be Doing: The Pressures of Life

Hi there!

We all have 'shoulds' in our lives. Maybe we should work somewhere else, separate ourselves from a relationship, or feel this way about someone. Maybe we should make more focused goals, travel more, or slow down. 

When we dwell on what we should be doing, rather than what we are actually doing, our consciousness gives personal negative feedback. Being hard on yourself means you are judging the person you have become. 

‘Shoulds’ and perfectionism go hand in hand. Comparing your situation to a different one will be the root of evil. Let your ‘shoulds’ inspire you rather than tear you down!

Ayurveda: The science of Life with B. Naga Kumar - Part 1

In this episode, we talk with our dearest teacher B. Naga Kumar of Mysore, India about Ayurveda. Kumar shares with us his own story about growing up in India and studying Ayurveda under his grandfather, who he mentored with in the younger years of his life. 

Kumar’s background focuses on the non-physical, energetic part of humans. In the second half of the interview, Kumar talks about the 5 elements in Ayurveda: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space.

Since we ran short on time, we decided to do a part two with Kumar that will air in October. In that episode, we will focus more on defining and understanding the doshas.

Online Dating and Understanding How We Process Emotions Through Astrology

There are a lot of emotions that go into relationships, romantic and also friendly. Join us this week talking about our experiences with romantic relationships. How we process emotions from experiences we are given. Knowing and processing our natural emotional habits will help us understand the way we react to different people or attitudes. 

We also talk about what it looks like to be a friend to someone who is internally processing their emotions. Loving a friend from afar can be extremely difficult, so to successfully do this, grace and patience is necessary.
